Job summary

Stryker is seeking an Associate Sourcing Manager in the United States to develop and execute strategic sustaining sourcing initiatives focused on cost, quality, service, and supply continuity. You will partner with suppliers and cross-functional teams to optimize the supply base and deliver value aligned with enterprise objectives.

You will lead supplier selection, spend analysis, and negotiations while driving cost reduction and risk mitigation across the supplier base.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, Finance or related field.
  • 6+ years of experience in strategic sourcing, procurement, supply management, or supplier development.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute commodity and sourcing strategies aligned with business objectives.
  • Lead supplier selection, supply base optimization, and spend analysis initiatives.
  • Build and maintain strong supplier relationships while driving performance through scorecards, business reviews, and continuous improvement efforts.
  • Negotiate and manage supplier agreements to achieve optimal commercial, quality, and service outcomes.
  • Conduct cost analyses, benchmarking, and make-versus-buy evaluations to support sourcing decisions.
  • Identify and implement cost reduction, productivity, and value improvement initiatives.
  • Monitor market conditions, industry trends, and emerging technologies to inform sourcing strategies.
  • Identify supply chain risks and develop mitigation strategies to ensure business continuity.
  • Partner with engineering, operations, quality, finance, and product development teams to align sourcing strategies with business needs.
  • Demonstrated success in supplier negotiations, contract management, cost reduction, risk mitigation, and supplier performance management.
  • Strong analytical, project management, and influencing skills.
  • Proven ability to collaborate and communicate effectively across all organizational levels.

What you will need
Required
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, Finance, or a related field.
  • 6+ years of experience in strategic sourcing, procurement, supply management, or supplier development.
Preferred
  • Experience within a highly regulated industry.
  • Knowledge of ISO 13485, FDA QSR, and ISO 9001 standards.
  • Supplier performance management.
  • Master's degree and/or professional certifications (APICS, ISM, CSCMP, PMP).
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
  • Large ERP experience.
United States of America Pay Ranges

$89,300 - $148,800 USD Annual
