Job summary

Enverus Intelligence Research Inc. in Austin, TX is seeking an Associate Legal Counsel to own customer subscriptions, data licenses, and vendor contracts end-to-end in a high-volume, autonomous role.

You will collaborate with Sales, Product, Finance, IT, and Security to align legal positions with commercial objectives. The role requires a JD, Texas bar admission, and a proven track record drafting SaaS and data-licensing agreements, with emphasis on AI terms and privacy compliance.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor from an ABA-accredited law school.
• Licensed and in good standing in Texas or eligible to register as in-house counsel in Texas.
• Experience drafting and negotiating SaaS, subscription, or data licensing agreements.
• Ability to manage a high volume of concurrent matters and prioritize independently.
• Working knowledge of U.S. and international data privacy frameworks (CCPA, GDPR).
• Experience with AI-related contract terms.
• Sound commercial judgment and autonomy in a fast-moving environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide practical legal advice to the business on day-to-day commercial and operational matters.
• Serve as the primary legal contact for the sales organization from redline through signature.
• Draft, negotiate, and revise customer subscription agreements, data licenses, and related commercial documents.
• Advise on AI and data-use terms, including the Enverus AI Addendum and data licensing rights.
• Advise on regulatory, privacy, and compliance matters across business verticals.
• Coordinate with outside counsel and internal stakeholders on contracts, IP, acquisitions, and data distribution.
