Job summary

Enverus is seeking an Associate Legal Counsel to own commercial contracts, data licensing, and AI terms. You will work across Sales, Product, Finance, IT, and Security to align legal positions with business objectives.

This high-volume, high-autonomy role requires strong drafting skills, the ability to negotiate SaaS and data agreements, and a solid understanding of U.S. privacy frameworks such as CCPA and GDPR. Texas bar admission is required.

Qualifications

• JD degree from ABA-accredited law school and admission to practice in Texas.
• 4+ years of experience in commercial contracting and data licensing.
• Experience drafting and negotiating SaaS and data agreements.
• Familiarity with AI-related contract terms and data privacy.

Responsibilities

• Provide practical legal advice on day-to-day commercial matters.
• Serve as primary legal contact for the sales team from redline to signature.
• Draft, negotiate, and revise customer subscription agreements and data licenses.
• Advise on AI terms, data usage, and third-party licensing rights.
• Coordinate with outside counsel and ensure regulatory/compliance alignment.
