Senior Laboratory Assistant

Providence Mission Hospital in Mission Viejo, CA. Full‑time, 8‑hour day shifts.

About the Role

The Senior Laboratory Assistant is responsible for the collection and processing of blood specimens, assessment and care for neonate, pediatric, adult, and geriatric in‑patients, emergency room patients, and patients from other hospital services as needed. The candidate will assist with outpatient specimen collection and processing, inoculate microbiology specimens onto primary media, and process specimens for referral testing. Proficiency in required competencies is essential.

Required Qualifications

• California Certified Phlebotomy Technician I License upon hire
• California Certified Phlebotomy Technician II License upon hire

Preferred Qualification

• 1 year laboratory phlebotomy experience
