Job summary

Providence St. Joseph Hospital Eureka is seeking an Associate Laboratory Assistant in the Clinical Laboratory Unit for a full-time night-shift role. The position supports phlebotomy and routine lab tasks within a busy hospital setting.

Under supervision, you will maintain clean lab areas, perform basic technical tasks, and contribute to patient care. California licensure is required or obtained on hire; laboratory, medical office or hospital experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• H.S. Diploma or GED.
• California Certified Phlebotomy Technician I License upon hire, Or California Certified Phlebotomy Technician II License upon hire.
• Preferred qualification: Laboratory, medical office or hospital experience.

Responsibilities

• Performs routine non-technical, manual, and a moderate amount of technical work in the medical laboratory.
• Maintains laboratory areas and equipment in a clean and sanitary condition.
• Carries out related tasks as required.
