Job summary

Abbott in Madison, WI is seeking a Clinical Laboratory Director to lead development, validation, and ongoing monitoring of diagnostic tests within the Cancer Diagnostics division. You will integrate medical guidelines and CLIA standards to provide guidance and drive test improvements across R&D, Product Development, Medical Affairs, Operations and Quality.

Qualifications

• Hold a CLIA high-complexity license for a laboratory.
• Board certification in related pathology fields as listed.
• Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Ensure tests meet current medical and technical standards.
• Collaborate with commercial, R&D, and operations for test performance.
• Monitor test performance, identify trends, and drive improvements.
• Support risk assessments and timely resolution of testing concerns.
• Stay abreast of guidelines and regulatory standards for tests.
