Job summary

SWARCO McCain is seeking an Associate ITS Specialist in Vista, CA to coordinate and manage system software deployment, maintenance, and customer projects. The role includes installing system software and SQL databases, supporting software testing for releases, and learning traffic signal timing conversions between database formats.

Responsibilities include collaborating with staff on installation and maintenance, developing project plans, contributing to pre-release tests, and preparing reports

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• Associate or bachelor's in a technical discipline desired.
• Traffic or transportation industry experience desired.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

Responsibilities

• Collaborates with department and project staff for installation and maintenance of system traffic management software.
• Coordinates development of project plans and customer solutions.
• Participates in pre-release software testing.
• Performs traffic signal controller timing conversions.
• Prepares progress and cost reports for leadership.
• Ensures compliance with codes, guidelines, and policies.
• Troubleshoots with other department staff and shares solutions.
