Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a software engineer to develop and test cloud-native solutions across PCF, Azure, AWS, and mobile platforms. You will work with designers, developers, and product owners to deliver robust software under modern CI/CD practices, including XP and TDD.

The role emphasizes collaboration, independent research, and the ability to learn new languages quickly. You will participate in code reviews and paired programming to drive quality and security awareness.

Requirements

• Experience building software solutions independently and as part of a team, including through projects, internships, or advanced education
• Ability to navigate and operate IDEs efficiently
• Understanding of APIs
• Familiarity with multiple development frameworks
• Familiarity with cloud-native software engineering best practices, containers, microservices, and DevOps principles
• Self-sufficient in at least one programming language and able to learn and implement solutions in a new language
• Understanding of databases and basic database design techniques
• Basic understanding of cybersecurity principles including authentication, authorization, and encryption
• Ability to use common security libraries for the applicable language stack
• Preferred: knowledge of programming languages, operating systems, and computer networks
• Preferred: full-stack development experience
• Preferred: familiarity with Angular or another JavaScript framework, Java, Python, PCF, Azure, AWS, and cloud environments
• Preferred: experience with IaaS and IaC
• Ability to work lawfully in the U.S. without employment-based immigration sponsorship, now or in the future
