Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a seasoned full-stack software engineer to design, develop, test, and deploy secure, scalable enterprise applications for the FAA E-IDS environment. The role focuses on Java/Spring Boot back-end services and Angular front-end interfaces, integrated into microservices architecture.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, participate in Agile ceremonies, and contribute to DevSecOps practices across development, test, and production environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, software engineering, information systems, mathematics, or related technical discipline
• At least five years of professional software development experience designing, developing, and supporting enterprise applications
• Experience with Java and the Spring Boot framework
• Experience designing and developing RESTful APIs and microservices architectures
• Experience developing modern, responsive web applications using Angular or similar framework
• Experience with relational databases and SQL
• Experience implementing and supporting CI/CD pipelines (GitLab CI, Jenkins)
• Experience deploying containerized apps using Docker and Kubernetes/OpenShift
• Experience in Agile teams using Scrum or Kanban
• Experience debugging and optimizing enterprise applications across environments
• Experience integrating front-end with RESTful services and back-end systems

Responsibilities

• • Develop, enhance, and maintain back-end services using Java, Spring Boot, REST APIs, and microservices architecture.


• • Build and maintain responsive front-end user interfaces using Angular or comparable modern web technologies.


• • Collaborate with software architects, platform engineers, system integration, test, product owners, and other cross-functional development teams to deliver integrated software solutions.


• • Participate in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, backlog refinement, daily stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives.


• • Develop, troubleshoot, and optimize application across development, integration, test, and production-like environments.


• • Participate in peer code reviews and contribute to software quality, maintainability, and secure coding practices.


• • Support CI/CD pipelines, containerized deployments, and DevSecOps practices.


• • Create and maintain technical documentation, including design artifacts, implementation notes, and operational documentation.


• • Analyze and resolve software defects, performance issues, and integration challenges while supporting continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Information Systems, Mathematics, or other related technical discipline


• At least five (5) or more years of professional software development experience designing, developing, and supporting enterprise applications.


• Demonstrated experience developing applications using Java and the Spring Boot framework.


• Experience designing and developing RESTful APIs and microservices architectures.


• Experience developing modern, responsive web applications using Angular or a comparable JavaScript/TypeScript framework.


• Experience with relational databases and SQL.


• Experience implementing and supporting CI/CD pipelines using tools such as GitLab CI, Jenkins, or similar technologies.


• Experience developing and deploying containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes/OpenShift.


• Experience working within Agile software development teams using Scrum or Kanban methodologies.


• Experience troubleshooting, debugging, and optimizing enterprise applications across development, integration, and test environments.


• Experience integrating front-end applications with RESTful services and enterprise back-end systems.
