Job summary

BakerHostetler is seeking a Trademark associate to join its nationally recognized Intellectual Property practice group. The ideal candidate will have 4-7 years of trademark experience, including global brand protection, counseling, prosecution, clearance, licensing, and enforcement, including cease and desist letters, notice-and-takedown procedures, TTAB actions, foreign oppositions, UDRP disputes, and federal litigation.

The candidate should demonstrate the ability to manage complex U.S.

Qualifications

• J.D. from a nationally recognized law school.
• Strong research, writing, and oral skills.
• The ability to manage a fast-paced, global and complex workload while maintaining priorities.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills.
• Interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively with clients and teams.

Responsibilities

• Advise on global brand protection, trademark counseling, prosecution, clearance, licensing and enforcement.
• Docket management including cease and desist letters, notice-and-takedown procedures, TTAB actions, foreign oppositions, UDRP disputes and federal litigation.
• Manage complex U.S. and international trademark portfolios.
• Collaborate with clients and colleagues to develop and execute trademark strategies.

• Must be admitted to practice law in the state where the candidate will reside

For Denver, the expected annual salary range for this position is $260,000 – $315,000.

For Chicago, Los Angeles, Orange County, San Francisco, Seattle, and Washington D.C., the expected annual salary range for this position is $285,000 – $370,000.

The salary offered in any location will be determined by a wide range of factors, including, but not limited to, experience level, education/training, geographic region, and relevant skills. Associates also participate in a performance- and hours-based bonus program.
