The Tennessee College of Applied Technology - Dickson is seeking an Associate Instructor for the Evening Barbering Program at our Clarksville Campus. This full‑time position focuses on both theory and hands-on barbering instruction, delivering a complete, progressive course with detailed lesson plans and student assessments.
Ideal candidates hold a high school diploma, Barbering or Cosmetology instructor licensure, and at least three years of related experience.
The Tennessee College of Applied Technology - Dickson is accepting applications for the full-time position of Associate Instructor in the Evening Barbering Program at our Clarksville Campus. This is a grant-funded position.
The Evening Barbering Associate Instructor is responsible for providing individualized theory and hands‑on instruction to prepare students for employment as Barbers. The Barbering Associate Instructor will develop, plan, and prepare a complete and progressive course of study including lesson plans, assignments, and instructional aides; monitor, grade and evaluate individual student progress; enter and maintain student records on a regular basis in the college’s student records management system; assist with recruitment, placement, and follow‑up of students; and other duties as assigned. This position must also maintain good public relations with business and industry, maintain an active advisory committee and cooperate with outside agencies. This is not a remote position; all instruction is delivered in‑person. Scheduled work hours are Monday through Friday from 1:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. Class schedule is Monday through Friday from 2:45 p.m. to 9:15 p.m. This is a grant‑funded position.
$51,149-$61,379 per year ($26.23-$31.47 per hour). Commensurate with Tennessee Colleges of Applied Technology salary guidelines and directly related experience.
