Job summary

ProPivotal in Massachusetts seeks an Associate HR Consultant to act as an associate relations SME, supporting complex employee relations matters for a health insurance firm. You will partner with HRBPs and stakeholders as a trusted advisor and deliver risk-aware guidance.

Massachusetts resident requirement applies. The role is contract-based with pay at $40/hour, offering meaningful impact in employee relations and organizational culture.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field or equivalent experience.
• 3–4+ years of employee relations experience.
• Strong knowledge of federal and state employment laws and regulations.
• Excellent consultative listening and written/verbal communication skills.
• Experience conducting formal investigations and recommending outcomes to senior leaders.
• Discretion in confidential and emotionally charged situations.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office plus HRIS and case management systems.

Responsibilities

• Provide consultation and resolution for complex associate relations inquiries with minimal supervision.
• Advise employees and leaders at all levels, including senior executives.
• Guide leaders on performance management and disciplinary actions for conversations.
• Coach leaders and associates to resolve conflicts, disputes and complaints.
• Conduct and document impartial workplace investigations as needed.
• Maintain complete case notes in the case management system.
• Analyze case data and share themes with HR business partners.
• Facilitate training to address trends and support associate relations strategy.
• Support onboarding guidance and mentorship for advisory services team members.
• Contribute to projects and continuous improvement work.
