Job summary

AbbVie Inc. is seeking a Corporate Counsel for Global Commercial Legal - U.S. Market Access and Pricing to shape legal strategy and support for the Market Access function, with a focus on payor and trade strategies.

You will advise on Anti-Kickback Statute, False Claims Act, Inflation Reduction Act, and competition law, while providing strategic counsel to senior management on pricing and access matters. This role reports to the Senior Associate General Counsel and requires a law degree with 5+

Qualifications

• Law degree from an ABA-accredited law school and bar admission in the appropriate jurisdiction.
• Minimum of 5+ years of relevant legal experience, preferably in the pharmaceutical industry.
• Knowledge of commercial payor and trade contracting and the regulatory landscape.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work in a matrixed, high-pressure environment.

Responsibilities

• Serve as business counsel for Market Access regarding legal, regulatory, and compliance issues related to payor and trade strategies.
• Advise on Anti-Kickback Statute, False Claims Act, Inflation Reduction Act, and competition law matters, plus industry guidance.
• Provide strategic legal counsel to senior management on product pricing and access matters.
• Prepare, review, and negotiate complex government, payor, and trade agreements.
• Develop deep knowledge of AbbVie's business and keep abreast of changes in law.
