Job summary

Storm2, a crypto-native trading and technology firm, is seeking an experienced Associate General Counsel to lead the legal and regulatory function as it scales. The role focuses on crypto, trading, financial regulation, and commercial contracts, working closely with leadership to provide practical legal guidance across crypto, DeFi, and traditional markets.

Qualifications

5–10 years of legal experience.
Strong commercial contracts experience.
Background in crypto, digital assets, DeFi, trading, fintech, or financial services.
Knowledge of traditional financial markets.
Experience with broker-dealer and/or CFTC matters.
New York/EST preferred.

Responsibilities

Draft, review, and negotiate commercial contracts and trading-related agreements.
Advise on legal and regulatory matters across crypto, DeFi, and TradFi.
Provide guidance relating to broker-dealer and CFTC matters.
Support matters involving prediction markets and emerging financial products.
Partner with leadership on new products, counterparties, trading initiatives, and commercial opportunities.
Monitor developments across digital-asset and financial-services regulation.
Help develop scalable legal processes as the business grows.
