Storm2, a leading fintech, is seeking a Senior Counsel to lead legal strategy for digital asset, blockchain, and payments products in Chicago, IL. The role collaborates with Product, Compliance, Risk, and Strategy teams to support innovative offerings in regulated environments.

The candidate should have 8+ years of experience and a strong background in fintech, banking, crypto, or digital assets, with deep expertise in financial services regulation, BSA/AML, sanctions, privacy, and consumer

Qualifications

8+ years of legal experience in-house or at top law firms.
Strong fintech, payments, banking, crypto, or digital assets background.
Expertise in financial services regulation, BSA/AML, sanctions, privacy, and consumer finance.
Commercially minded with experience supporting innovative products in regulated environments.

Responsibilities

Lead legal advisory on digital asset, blockchain, and payments products.
Partner with Product, Compliance, Risk, and Strategy teams on new product launches.
Provide guidance on regulatory, consumer protection, privacy, and compliance matters.
Draft and negotiate commercial agreements and customer-facing documentation.
Monitor regulatory developments and help shape legal frameworks for emerging products.
