Qualifications

• JD required and licensed to practice law in at least one U.S. state
• 5+ years of legal experience ideally with an Architecture, Engineering & Construction firm
• Experience drafting and negotiating design-build, EPC, and CM contracts
• Working knowledge of construction insurance
• Willingness to travel up to 15%

Responsibilities

• Review and negotiate design, EPC, design-build, and construction management contracts
• Draft and modify standard contract forms (AIA, EJCDC, ConsensusDocs, DBIA)
• Lead negotiations with project leadership and procurement
• Advise on risk mitigation and contract terms with clients
• Coordinate with insurers and outside counsel and manage disputes
