Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school.
• Active law license required in New York or North Carolina.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in construction law, litigation, corporate law, or related area.
• High level of integrity, dependability, and resourcefulness.
• Ability to communicate complex legal matters in practical business terms.

Responsibilities

• Draft, review, negotiate, and advise on a broad range of commercial construction related contracts.
• Partner with project teams and leadership to provide practical legal guidance across the project lifecycle.
• Assist in developing strategies to prevent, negotiate, and resolve disputes.
• Manage outside counsel, budget, and progress toward resolution.
• Develop and deliver training materials to help employees understand obligations and regulatory requirements.
• Monitor changes in laws affecting construction and communicate updates to leadership.
• Advise executives on compliance obligations and promote consistent business practices.
• Support employment, governance, real estate, and general corporate legal needs.
