Job summary

Moog Space and Defense Group is seeking an Associate FPGA Design Engineer for an onsite role in East Aurora, NY. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (MS preferred).
• Experience or academic exposure in firmware design for FPGAs.
• Knowledgeable of VHDL and FPGA simulation tools.
• Familiarity with Matlab and Simulink.
• Exposure with simulation, testing and debugging tools and techniques.
• Familiarity with electronics lab equipment.
• Knowledge of interface and network protocols (SPI, I2C, RS-422, RS-485, Ethernet).
• Must have the ability to obtain U.S. Security Clearance.

Job Overview

Moog Space and Defense Group is looking for an Associate FPGA Design Engineer with a focus on FPGA Design for an onsite position in East Aurora. This position primarily works in the WNY Defense Electrical Group. Reporting to the WNY Defense Electrical Engineering Manager, you will perform the conceptual design, analysis, development and testing of complex controls systems used on defense applications. You’ll be responsible for the development of complex electrohydraulic, electromechanical and electropneumatic hardware control systems. This position requires a high degree of foresight and creativity to anticipate and solve unprecedented engineering problems.

Key Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering, Master of Science Degree in Engineering Preferred.
• Experience (or academic exposure) in designing firmware for FPGA’s.
• Knowledgeable of VHDL and FPGA simulation tools.

Salary

Salary Range Transparency: Buffalo, NY $70,000.00–$95,000.00 Annually
