Job summary

Moog Space and Defense Group in East Aurora is seeking an Associate FPGA Design Engineer focused on FPGA design for defense applications. This onsite role joins the WNY Defense Electrical Group and reports to the WNY Defense Electrical Engineering Manager.

You will engage in conceptual design, analysis, development and testing of complex control systems, emphasizing electrohydraulic, electromechanical and electropneumatic hardware. A strong background in FPGA firmware is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering; MS preferred.
• Experience or exposure in designing firmware for FPGAs.
• Knowledgeable of VHDL and FPGA simulation tools.
• Familiarity with Matlab and Simulink.
• Exposure with simulation, testing and debugging tools and techniques.
• Familiarity with electronics lab equipment.
• Knowledge of interface and network protocols such as SPI, I2C, RS-422, RS-485, Ethernet.

Moog Space and Defense Group is looking for an Associate FPGA Design Engineer with a focus on FPGA Design for an onsite position in East Aurora. This position primarily works in the WNY Defense Electrical Group.

Reporting to the WNY Defense Electrical Engineering Manager, you will perform the conceptual design, analysis, development and testing of complex controls systems used on defense applications. You'll be responsible for the development of complex electrohydraulic, electromechanical and electropneumatic hardware control systems. This position requires a high degree of foresight and creativity to anticipate and solve unprecedented engineering problems.

To be considered for an Associate FPGA Engineer, here's what you'll need to bring with you

• Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering, Master of Science Degree in Engineering Preferred.
• Experience (or academic exposure) in designing firmware for FPGA's
• Knowledgeable of VHDL and FPGA simulation tools
• Familiarity with Matlab and Simulink
• Exposure with simulation. Testing and debugging tools and techniques
• Familiarity with electronics lab equipment
• Knowledge of interface and network protocols a plus (i.e. SPI, I2C, RS-422, RS-485. Ethernet)
• Must have the ability to obtain U.S. Security Clearance

As an Associate FPGA Design Engineer, the responsibilities will be

Salary Range Transparency

Buffalo, NY $70,000.00-$95,000.00 Annually

Actual salaries will vary depending on factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. The range(s) listed is just one component of Moog's total compensation package for employees.
