Nearwater Capital, a rapidly growing specialty finance firm in New York City, seeks an Operations professional focused on risk retention settlements. You will manage settlement lifecycles, coordinate with custodians, and support regulatory reporting across securitized and repo activities.
Ideal candidates bring 2-5 years in fixed income operations, expertise in trade lifecycle, and strong Excel/Python/SQL skills to improve reporting and efficiency.
This role sits within Operations supporting Nearwater's Risk Retention business, one of the firm's three business lines alongside Liquid Markets and Capital Markets, and is directly responsible for the accurate and timely settlement of security purchases and sales, repo transactions, invoicing, and other reporting requirements. It requires close coordination with our third-party custodian bank, counterparties, and trading teams, and also provides back-up support to the settlement process for the Risk Retention business.
