Job summary

Schindler Elevator Corporation (U.S.) is seeking an Associate Field Superintendent - Service in Boston, MA. The role focuses on ensuring service maintenance meets quality standards, safety requirements, and contract obligations while supporting sales and project audits.

You will lead manpower development, improve productivity, and maintain relationships with the IUEC and area management. A bachelor’s degree is preferred and leadership experience is valued.

  • Prior technical leadership experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure maintenance meets Area and Company quality standards and contract requirements.
  • Implement customer and Company requirements for quality, performance reliability and passenger safety for each project under supervision.
  • Implement EEO/AA requirements consistent with Area and/or State and Federal requirements.
  • Support sales in estimating service orders, scheduling and executing orders, and resolving customer complaints; may include a sales role.
  • Manage project audit program to assure conformance of quality, completeness and safety.
  • Develop and implement manpower selection, training and performance appraisal objectives.
  • Implement route management to apply preventive maintenance with minimal manpower.
  • Foster teamwork and dedication to quality improvement among employees.
  • Evaluate and initiate tooling requests to support productivity.
  • Maintain proactive relationships with local IUEC business agent.
  • Advise Area management on competitor activity related to pricing, performance and manpower.

Your Main Responsibilities
  • Ensure that maintenance meets Area and Company quality standards and meets all contract requirements.
  • Implement customer and Company requirements for quality, performance reliability and passenger safety for each project under his/her supervision.
  • Implement EEO/AA requirement consistent with Area and/or State and Federal requirements.
  • Support sales staff in estimating service orders, scheduling and executing orders, and investigating and resolving customer complaints. This specific position may include a sales role depending on the candidate.
  • Manage ongoing program of project audit so as to assure conformance of performance standards of quality, completeness and safety.
  • Develop and implement program of manpower selection, training and performance appraisal essential to productivity and quality improvement objectives.
  • Implement route management strategy in support of ensuring uniform application of preventive maintenance procedures while controlling manpower to minimum level.
  • Develop spirit of teamwork and dedication to quality improvement among all employees.
  • Evaluate and initiate requests for tooling where such tooling would support productivity improvement.
  • Maintain and manage pro‑active relationships with local IUEC business agent.
  • Advise Area management of competitor activity as related to pricing, performance and manpower
What You Bring
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent in relevant work experience in a related field
  • Prior technical leadership experience preferred

Base Salary $90,300 - $112,900

The above represents the typical salary range for this position. Revisions to the range may be considered based on your experience, education, location, demonstrated skills, and alignment with business priorities. Please note that the compensation listed reflects only base salary and does not include commissions or longer-term incentives
