What you'll be doing
- Create and film front-of-camera videos for Who What Wear’s social channels, some of which will tie back to on-site editorial stories.
- Partner with the senior editor to help create short-form videos from industry events, press days, store openings, and designer studio visits.
- Assist the senior fashion and social editor in editing social content clips for higher concept videos, including image sourcing and script research.
- Help create cross-channel promotion plans for social content.
- Build a reputation and online presence as someone who is Who What Wear.
- Fulfill on-site story and social outputs weekly, respond to social content trends, and analyze story performance data to meet goals.
- Capture content IRL for social media at events, red carpets, NYFW, and shoots.
- Pitch and write daily fashion content for WhoWhatWear.com, including trend reports, shopping round-ups, styling guides, and SEO content.
- Track analytics on KPIs to ensure audience and affiliate goals are met, using data to inform strategy.
- Collaborate with social teams to optimize story performance and share analytics insights.
- Grow the Gen Z audience by creating viral videos, social franchises, and increasing brand engagement.
- Build relationships with PR, brands, and industry experts for exclusive insights and access to events.
- Stay informed on industry trends, new arrivals, and pop-culture moments relevant to content creation.

The ideal candidate is experienced in fashion and social media targeting Gen Z, with a proven track record of creating engaging content for digital publications and social platforms. They can quickly turn ideas into polished products, have a compelling writing style, and a strong front-of-camera presence. They understand the Who What Wear brand and can generate content ideas that resonate and perform. This role offers growth opportunities and learning from senior leaders in our social-first shopping strategy.
- 3+ years of experience writing fashion content for a digital publication.
- 2+ years of experience creating social content for a digital brand and publication.
- Excellent verbal and writing skills and visual sensibilities.
- Deep knowledge of the fashion industry.
- Personal online presence and portfolio of high-performing content.
- Creative approach to top-performing story categories, data-driven decision-making.
- Ability to translate insights into engaging social content.
- Experience collaborating across teams including distribution, art, sales, social, and data.
- Comfort with social editing tools like Canva and Capcut.
- Basic knowledge of affiliate marketing, HTML, CMS, SEO, and analytics tools like Dash Hudson.
What's in it for you
The salary range is $57,000 - $75,000. This is a hybrid role based in our New York Office, working three days in-office and two remotely.
