Base pay in range will be determined by applicant’s skills and experience. Full-time associates in role are eligible for an annual bonus incentive and sales referral bonuses. Temporary associates are not benefits eligible but may participate in the company’s 401(k) program.

Responsibilities

Responsible for the day-to-day operational execution in support of an Executive Director within a larger community. Manages occupancy and monthly financial performance for the property. Maintains positive working relationships with all residents, resident family members, employees, and the business community.

  • Under direct supervision of an Executive Director, responsible for all operations, acting as contact for all staff, residents, prospects, community organizations, government agencies, and the public.
  • Supervises, directs, and motivates staff. Maintains superior training and morale. Ensures training programs are effectively executed.
  • Maintains high resident satisfaction and retention through consistent delivery of high-quality services. Provides leadership for staff and residents, including proactive problem-solving and issue resolution. Administers annual resident satisfaction survey.
  • Executes renewal programs with existing residents through proactive engagement to ensure high renewal rates.
  • Develops annual operating and capital budgets in conjunction with the Executive Director. Maintains budget accountability, minimizes variances, and explores revenue enhancement and expense reduction strategies.
  • Hires, trains, disciplines, and terminates employees following company policies. Ensures consistency in personnel decisions.
  • Oversees property standards through preventive maintenance, inspections, and compliance with company standards.
  • Maintains current departmental policies, procedures, and licenses as per all requirements.
  • Fosters staff creativity to deliver high-quality services. Acts as a member of Resident Council.
  • Builds a positive community image, engaging in social and civic activities. Represents the facility to government agencies, community groups, and public organizations.
  • Conducts weekly department head meetings, quarterly safety and resident meetings, and stays informed on market trends.

Qualifications

Education and Experience: Bachelor's Degree in Gerontology, Business, or a related field is required. Minimum two to four years of management experience in retirement housing, hospitality, or healthcare, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Certifications, Licenses, and Other Requirements: State license as a nursing home administrator and/or Assisted Living License.

Management/Decision Making: Uses strong analytical skills and understanding of the organization to handle problems and issues, solving diverse problems with limited guidelines.

Knowledge and Skills: Advanced knowledge of the organization, industry, and functional disciplines. Understanding of legal requirements, sound business practices, hiring, training, evaluating, motivating, and disciplining personnel. Excellent communication skills, high accuracy, multi-tasking ability, professionalism, and customer service orientation. Ability to work under stress.
