Job summary

SLR International Corporation seeks an Associate Environmental Geologist/Engineer/Scientist to join our Anchorage, Alaska operations. You will work within our Alaska Land Quality and Remediation Technical Discipline, assisting with site investigation and cleanup, environmental permitting, and compliance.

Ideal candidates have 6+ years of relevant experience and a BS in Engineering; MS preferred. Field assignments up to two weeks away from Anchorage are required, with strong communication and

Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering is required.
  • 6+ years of relevant work experience.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills.
  • Willing to commit to field assignments up to two weeks away from Anchorage.

Responsibilities

  • Work with clients from a variety of industries.
  • Collect groundwater, surface water, and soil samples.
  • Review state, federal, and local regulations for applicability to site cleanup.
  • Assist other SLR teams with work in air monitoring, waste management, permitting, and compliance.
  • Travel to clients' facilities for inspections and document review.
  • Operate within quality/budget/schedule expectations and scope-specific assignments.
