Job summary

SLR International seeks a Staff/Project Air Quality Engineer or Scientist to join the Anchorage team. The role involves hands-on air quality and emissions testing across Alaska, with travel to remote locations and collaboration with our Air Quality Permitting and Compliance Team.

Qualifications

Bachelor's or Associate degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, Instrumentation Technology, Electronics Technology, Chemistry or related field.
0-5 years of experience in emissions testing, air quality and meteorological monitoring or related field services.
Strong writing, proofreading and reporting skills.
Familiarity with environmental monitoring instrumentation and field measurement equipment.
Experience with CEMS, ambient air monitoring, meteorological monitoring, or related systems.

Responsibilities

Participate in environmental monitoring projects including air quality and emissions testing.
Assist with design, installation, operation, and maintenance of monitoring equipment and telemetry systems.
Troubleshoot and repair field instrumentation and monitoring stations.
Prepare QA plans, SOPs and testing protocols for projects.
Travel frequently to remote locations to perform testing and maintenance; collect and manage data.
Support project logistics, scheduling, and client deliverables.
