Job summary

R&M Consultants, Inc. seeks a Senior Environmental Geologist/Engineer to act as technical lead on contaminated sites projects in Alaska. This on-site role guides field crews, develops proposals, prepares cost estimates, and coordinates subsurface investigations and site characterizations.

Candidates should have a B.S. in Geology or Civil/Environmental Engineering, Alaska-licensed Geologist or PE (or ability to obtain within six months), 8–15 years of related experience, and ADEC Qualified

Qualifications

  • B.S. in Geology, Civil Engineering or Environmental Engineering required.
  • Alaska-licensed Geologist or Professional Engineer, or ability to achieve within six months of hire.
  • 8–15 years of related experience.
  • ADEC Qualified Environmental Professional (18 AAC 75.333 / 18 AAC 78.088) preferred.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds and possession of a valid Alaska driver’s license.

Senior Environmental Geologist / Engineer

R&M Consultants, Inc. is seeking a team-oriented Senior Environmental Geologist or Engineer to serve as a technical lead for contaminated sites projects. This is an on-site position with occasional travel to project sites throughout Alaska.

Responsibilities
  • Develop proposals
  • Produce cost estimates
  • Execute contaminated site projects
  • Plan subsurface investigations and site characterizations
  • Write technical reports and analyze data
  • Supervise contaminated site field work and subcontractors
Minimum Qualifications
  • B.S. in Geology, Civil Engineering or Environmental Engineering
  • Alaska Certified Professional Geologist or Professional Engineer, licensed in Alaska (or ability to achieve within six months of hire)
  • 8 to 15 years of related experience
  • ADEC Qualified Environmental Professional (18 AAC 75.333 / 18 AAC 78.088)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds and possession of a valid Alaska driver’s license
Desired Qualifications
  • M.S. in Geology, Civil Engineering or Environmental Engineering
  • 40-hour HAZWOPER
  • HAZWOPER Supervisor
  • 30-hour OSHA training
  • First Aid and Adult CPR
