Job summary

RICK is hiring an Associate Engineering Designer in Tucson, AZ. Join a multi-disciplinary team on landmark projects and help turn clients’ dreams into reality while growing alongside industry experts.

This role offers mentorship, growth, and opportunities to work on public works and land development projects, with CADD proficiency and an EIT preferred for advancement.

Qualifications

• BSCE degree preferred with two years’ experience or six years in land development/public works.
• Experience taking plans from conceptual design to final plans, including plats and subdivision/land development.
• Knowledge of Tucson-area codes, standards and procedures preferred.
• CADD experience is required.
• A good driving record is required.
• Preferred Engineer-in-Training (EIT) or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Take plans from conceptual design to final plans for subdivision and land development projects.
• Prepare and process plats and plans, including roadway, utility and drainage design.
• Perform grading and earthwork calculations.

Qualifications

• Qualified candidate will have a BSCE degree (preferred) and two (2) years’ work experience or the equivalent work experience of six (6) years in land development and/or public works.
• Experience must include the ability to take plans from conceptual design to final plans, as well as preparation and processing of plats and plans for subdivision and land development projects, including roadway, utility, and drainage design, grading and earthwork calculations.
• Knowledge of jurisdictional codes, standards and procedures in the Tucson Area is preferred.
• CADD experience is required.
• A good driving record is required.
• Preferred EIT (Engineer-in-Training) or ability to obtain within 6 months of being hired.
