Job Summary

Responsible for providing technical support and answering questions related to our existing products. Utilize technical product line knowledge and apply problem-solving skills to assist customers and internal team members effectively.

Major Tasks, Responsibilities And Key Accountabilities

• Provides technical support to the team and customers on product performance, best practices, technical information research, and troubleshooting.
• Maintains detailed records of technical support solutions provided and implemented, utilizing industry and product-related knowledge.
• Analyzes and supplies historical product test data to address product issues and support customer requests.
• Prepares competitive analyses for the establishment and review of internal quality objectives.
• Responds to customer inquiries regarding product specifications, functionality, and usage.
• Provides detailed information regarding special product usage and limitations for internal and external customers.
• Utilizes engineering knowledge to update and improve product documentation.
• Performs other duties as requested or assigned
  
  

Nature and Scope

• Works in compliance with established procedures and/or protocols. Identifies and resolves readily identifiable, clearly defined problems. Demonstrates skill in data analysis and techniques by resolving missing/incomplete information and inconsistencies/anomalies in routine research/data.
• Nature of work requires general supervision; exercises judgment. May be paired with a mentor. Work typically involves regular process checks or review of output by a coworker and/or supervisor.
• May provide general guidance/direction to or train junior level support personnel.
  
  

Work Environment

• Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.
• Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles.
• Typically requires overnight travel less than 10% of the time.
  
  

Education And Experience

• Typically requires BS/BA in a related discipline. Certification may be required in some areas. Generally 0-2 years of experience in a related field OR MS/MA and generally 0-1 year of experience in a related field.
  
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering (mechanical or civil preferred).
• 1 to 3 years relevant technical experience preferred.
• Knowledge of how to read design drawings, specifications, blueprints, technical plans, and models.
• Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and CAD tools (SOLIDWORKS).
• Previous background in concrete construction preferred.
