Job summary

Provost & Pritchard is seeking an experienced Professional Civil/Geotechnical Engineer to join our Geostructural team in California. This role focuses on design, construction management, calculations, data analysis, and consulting on tunnels and underground structures, including major project work like a 12,000-foot irrigation tunnel replacement.

Ideal candidates hold a Masters or Bachelor's in geotechnical, tunnel, or civil engineering, with 5–10+ years of experience.

Qualifications

• Masters or Bachelor’s degree in geotechnical, tunnel and/or civil engineering.
• 5–10+ years of engineering experience, preferably tunneling.
• Active CA GE or PE license or able to sit for CA license within 6 months.

Summary

Provost & Pritchard is looking an experienced Professional Civil/Geotechnical Engineer to work on our Geostructural team! This team offers consultation and engineering services for tunnels and alternative underground structure design and construction. Our engineers and geologists have worked on teams with owners, architects, building structural engineers, and contractors on more than 400 cave and tunnel building projects across California; and have worked on a wide range of new tunnel design and construction projects over the past 30 years. One of the exciting projects our team is focused on is the final design and pre-construction services of a 12,000-foot-long tunnel for an irrigation district to replace several thousand-feet long canal and tunnel systems that are over 100 years old.

This position may fill a variety of roles and responsibilities include:

Qualifications

• Masters or Bachelor's degree in geotechnical, tunnel and/or civil engineering or related
• 5-10+ years of experience in engineering, preferably with a tunneling background
• Must hold an active CA GE or PE license or licensed in another state and be willing to sit for CA license within 6 months of hire
• Valid California Driver's License
