Job summary

Provost & Pritchard Consulting Group is seeking an Associate Engineer to join the Geostructural Division in Sonora, CA. The role focuses on tunnel and ground-support design within wine cave and infrastructure projects, with occasional travel.

You will engage in engineering design, construction support, and potentially project management, serving as an engineer-of-record on selected projects. California PE and strong communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or master's degree in civil, geotechnical, or geological engineering.
• 5–10 years of PE experience required.
• Willing to travel up to ~300 miles roundtrip, up to twice monthly.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Proficiency in writing technical information for clear reports.

Responsibilities

• Perform geostructural engineering for tunnel and ground-support design.
• Provide design work for other projects and construction engineering support.
• Engineers-of-record role and project oversight.
