Job summary

Delve Underground seeks a Staff Geotechnical Engineer to work on tunnels, underground facilities, and water infrastructure across California offices in Walnut Creek, San Francisco, Sacramento, Los Angeles, Irvine, or San Diego. The role focuses on geotechnical investigations, design calculations, seismic evaluations, and reports with a team-focused, field-oriented approach.

The candidate should have a BS in Geotechnical/Civil or Geological Engineering (MS preferred), experience with

Qualifications

• BS in Geotechnical/Civil or Geological Engineering; MS preferred.
• Experience with geotechnical analysis software for soil/rock stability and seismic site response.
• Familiarity with Rocscience or Bentley tools; Python scripting beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Support geotechnical investigation programs including planning, permitting, field data collection and reporting.
• Perform geotechnical engineering analyses and design calculations for tunnels, foundations and excavation supports.
• Write technical reports detailing analysis and design basis.
• Assist with construction drawings and specifications for underground infrastructure.
• Collaborate with multi-disciplinary project teams and communicate with internal staff and clients.
