Job summary

Provost & Pritchard is seeking a motivated candidate to join our Geostructural team. The role involves working on wine cave tunnel complexes, private residential tunnels, water-district tunnels and canals, and earth-retention structures.

The candidate will perform engineering calculations under a licensed engineer, assist in AutoCAD drafting, and prepare design reports while developing skills toward licensure as a professional engineer within three years of hire.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil, Geotechnical, or Geological Engineering.
• 0-3 years of experience preparing engineering calculations and conducting research.
• Experience with AutoCAD; Civil 3D a plus.
• Written and oral communication skills.
• Exceptional problem-solving skills.
• Team player with service-oriented (client focused) mentality.
• Motivated self-starter.
• EIT obtained or in progress highly desired.
• Goal to become a licensed professional engineer within 3 years of hire.

Responsibilities

• Perform engineering calculations for tunnel and retaining wall design with the support of and under the direction of a licensed engineer.
• Assist in the preparation of construction drawings using AutoCAD.
• Prepare design reports.
• Perform construction inspections.
• Carry out additional responsibilities assigned by designated personnel
