Job summary

AST SpaceMobile is seeking an Associate Electrical Engineer to design and test electrical harnesses for satellites and ground support equipment. You will collaborate with senior engineers and multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless integration of electrical systems.

The role emphasizes detailed schematics, test planning, and rigorous documentation. A bachelor’s degree and 0–2 years of experience are expected, with preferred exposure to space environment standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, or a related field.
• A minimum of 0–2 years of industry experience or recent graduate with hands-on project experience.
• Knowledge of space environment and harness design principles is preferred.
• Familiarity with CAD software for harness design and electrical simulation tools.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with engineering teams to design, test, and support the integration of electrical harnesses for spacecraft and ground systems.
• Create detailed electrical schematics, select wiring, connectors, back shells, and other harness components, ensuring compliance with standards.
• Develop and execute test plans to verify functionality, reliability, and performance of electrical harness systems.
• Conduct thorough testing and validation procedures, analyze test data, and troubleshoot issues to meet design requirements.
• Prepare comprehensive technical documentation, including interface control documents and harness drawings.
• Work with power, RF, C&DH, and other subsystems for seamless integration.
