Job summary

MPW Industrial Services is seeking an Associate Electrical Engineer to support the Industrial Water team. You will design, program, test, commission, and improve electrical and control systems for industrial water treatment solutions, with hands-on mentorship and growth toward full control-system ownership.

You will work on designs combining electrical, automation, instrumentation, and real-world field commissioning.

Qualifications

Associate degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Automation, Controls, or related field.
Entry-level candidates encouraged; internship/co-op experience preferred.
Familiarity with 24VDC, 120/240VAC, and 480VAC power system design.
Basic PLC, HMI, Ethernet networking knowledge.
AutoCAD or CAD software experience helpful; NEC codes a plus.

Responsibilities

Contribute to electrical and controls projects from design through testing, commissioning, and implementation.
Assist with power distribution design and low-voltage control systems.
Support control system architecture including PLCs, instrumentation, and safety networks.
Assist with component selection, panel layout, CAD docs, and system integration.
Develop and modify PLC/ HMI programs under guidance toward independent design.
Participate in testing, commissioning, troubleshooting, QA, and documentation.
Communicate progress and updates with teams, vendors, and customers.
Manage tasks to meet schedules, quality expectations, and budgets.
Travel to customer sites for startup, commissioning, and field activities.
