This Senior-level Engineering position in the Ronkonkoma office is ideal for a Licensed Professional Electrical Engineer. The role involves partnering with senior executive staff to grow our MEP group.

The candidate will oversee the E & FA work product of the department, acting as a senior leader responsible for the firm’s profitability and quality in collaboration with management and leaders.

Job Requirements

1. Cultivate and build market presence through marketing and business development.
2. Develop NY clientele to expand project opportunities.
3. Generate leads, respond to RFPs, write proposals, and participate in interviews and presentations.
4. Build relationships with clients and owners to sell projects directly.
5. Manage projects, especially high-profile ones, within the office.
6. Serve as a technical resource and leader across Emtec offices.
7. Collaborate with senior management on strategic issues.
8. Lead the E & FA Department for staffing and workload planning.
9. Perform high-level quality control on projects.
10. Hire, develop, and retain staff, identifying future leaders.
11. Conduct annual performance reviews and regular follow-ups.
12. Set and support technical growth goals for staff.

Qualifications

1. Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
2. PE license in New York State; additional states a plus.
3. Extensive experience in commercial engineering consulting.
4. Strong leadership and people management skills.
5. Proven ability to lead within a matrix organization.
6. 7-10+ years of professional engineering experience.
7. Experience in the NY/NYC market is strongly preferred.
