Job Description
Hazen and Sawyer is seeking a candidate to provide electrical engineering and design for water and wastewater facility projects.
- Qualified candidates should have knowledge in industrial power design, including medium and low voltage electrical power distribution, generator design, motor control, VFDs, lighting systems, equipment layout, and related activities.
- Candidates must have a good working knowledge of the NEC and related Codes.
- Good communication skills are essential, including interaction with clients and contractors.
- The candidate will serve as the lead electrical engineer on water and wastewater facility projects, including supervising less experienced staff and interacting with clients and multidisciplinary engineers. Prior engineering leadership experience is highly desirable.
- The candidate will act as a technical mentor for less experienced staff in local offices.
- Responsibilities include engaging in business development activities such as proposal preparation and scope development, as well as serving as a Project Manager for selected electrical projects.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD is required; experience with Revit BIM, SKM, and/or ETAP power systems software is desirable.
- Prior project leadership experience is required; leadership in major projects is preferred.
- Experience with instrumentation and control systems, including field and panel instruments, operator interfaces, and PLCs, is a plus.
- Over 12 years of experience in electrical engineering and design in water/wastewater or other heavy industrial industries is required.
- A Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering is mandatory.
- A Professional Engineering License is required.
