A leading county organization is seeking a District Court Clerk responsible for maintaining court records, assisting in court sessions, and ensuring compliance with legal procedures. The ideal candidate will have strong typing and computer skills, along with relevant educational qualifications. This role involves a variety of clerical duties and requires attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
Accurately compose, compile, assimilate, and maintain the care, custody, and control of District Court records. Monitor and prioritize workflow to ensure timely processing. Attend Court sessions and act as a liaison between the Court and other County departments, law enforcement agencies, attorneys, and the public as directed by District Clerk policy and management. Ensure proper procedures are followed regarding the tasks of the position.
These duties reflect all sections of the District Clerk's Office, including Civil, Criminal, and Family. It is not required to know all sections but only those applicable to your assigned section.

Minimum Requirements: Associate's degree and at least one year of related experience, OR a high school diploma or GED with three years of related experience. Knowledge of personal computers and word processing is preferred. Must pass a 35-wpm typing test, a criminal background check, and meet all administrative requirements. The position may require lifting boxes weighing up to 50 pounds.
Additional Notes: Typing tests are by invitation only. Proof of educational attainment must be provided at hire. Background checks include criminal history and may include credit, motor vehicle, employment, and educational verification. The role requires sitting, walking, stooping, standing, carrying, lifting, reaching, pulling, and pushing during duties.
