Job summary

Globus Medical in Ohio is seeking an Associate Distribution Coordinator to initiate, maintain, and compile records for ordering, receiving, storing, issuing, and shipping materials, supplies, and equipment in the distribution center.

You will verify packaging, process data entry for inventory and shipping, and ensure accurate documentation while adhering to company policies and compliance standards.

Responsibilities

  • Compares nomenclature, stock numbers, and other listed info on packing slips to verify PO/shipping order accuracy.
  • Performs data entry to maintain inventory, purchasing, shipping, and related records from contracts, POs, invoices, and requisitions.
  • Verifies inventory against physical counts and documents discrepancies with corrective action.
  • Maintains material inventory records and status of material locations.
  • Packages materials and ensures shipping docs are accurate while protecting items for shipment.
  • Initiates investigations into misdirected shipments, damage, shortages, or freight overcharges.

Our solutions improve the techniques and outcomes of surgery so patients can resume their lives as quickly as possible.Position Summary:As an Associate Distribution Coordinator, you will initiate, maintain, and compile records associated with ordering, receiving, storing, issuing, and shipping materials, supplies, and equipment. Package and prepare products and merchandise for final shipment and posts weights and shipping charges. Prepare and maintain records of merchandise shipped. Review customer orders, examine, stock and distribute merchandise, products and materials in distribution center.Essential Functions:Compares nomenclature, stock numbers, and other listed information on packing slips to verify accuracy of purchase orders and shipping ordersCompiles and performs data entry tasks to maintain inventory, purchasing, shipping, and other records; uses data sources such as contracts, purchase orders, invoices, requisitions, etc.Verifies inventory computations against physical count of stock and adjusts errors and documents discrepancies with proposed corrective actionMaintains manual or computerized records such as material inventory, in-process production reports, and status of material locationsCompiles information on receipt of disbursement of material, equipment, merchandise, or supplies, and computes inventory balance, price, and costPackages materials and equipment ensuring that shipping documentation is accurate and materials are protected adequately for shipment; determines most efficient and economical routing and mode of transportationInitiates investigations into causes of misdirected shipments, damage or shortages in shipments or overcharges in freight costAdheres to the letter and spirit of the company Code of Conduct, the AdvaMed Code, MedTech Code, and all other company policiesEnsures Compliance with applicable governmental laws, rules, and regulations, both in the United States and internationally, by completing introductory and annual training and maintaining knowledge of compliance as it applies to your roleRepresents the company in a professional manner and upholds the highest standards of ethical business practices and socially responsible conduct in all interactions with other employees, customers, suppliers, and other third partiesPerforms other duties as assignedReasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform these essential functions.Qualifications:Basic proficiency with MS Office software, document management software and ability to navigating the InternetPossesses interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written)Typically requires less than 1 year of related experienceHigh School Diploma or equivalent requiredPhysical Demands:The physical demands listed here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.Required to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawlRequired to regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 poundsRequired to possess specific vision abilities, including close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and capacity to adjust focusOur Values:Our Life Moves Us philosophy is built on four values: Passionate About Innovation, Customer Focused, Teamwork, and Driven.Passionate about Innovation: Improving patient care by delivering advanced technology to our customers is at the core of what we do.
