Job summary

Merck in North Wales, PA is seeking an Associate Director, Web Operations and Design System to lead US web channel strategy across HCP, HCC, and AI-driven search audiences. You will own design system governance, ensure compliant, accessible experiences, and partner with Marketing, IT, Legal, and Regulatory.

This role requires strong leadership, Jira backlog ownership, and ability to scale multi-brand design system components while driving discovery and performance across web properties.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required with 7+ years of professional experience in digital marketing, web strategy, IT, or design systems.
• Experience managing a product backlog, prioritizing capabilities, and driving roadmaps.
• Strong understanding of web usability, accessibility, and compliance in regulated environments.

Responsibilities

• Provide vision and governance for US HH web UX across consumer and HCP portals.
• Develop web strategy for HCC channel and design system standards and documentation.
• Lead cross-functional collaboration with Marketing, IT, Design, and Legal/Regulatory teams.
• Own Jira backlog, run standups, and improve throughput and predictability.
• Lead testing, prototyping, and analysis to improve performance and content discoverability.
