Job summary

Oscar Health in Tempe, AZ is seeking an Associate Director to drive the strategy and implementation of the Virtual Care program, collaborating with operations, product, data and clinical teams.

You will report into the Director, Virtual Care and work on a hybrid schedule with 3 in-office days per week, including Thursdays for team meetings and events.

Responsibilities

• Set, drive and execute on the Virtual Care team's strategy to enhance program performance.
• Identify and drive execution of cost-savings opportunities by collaborating with key business units.
• Program management of key company and department strategy initiatives from development through implementation.
• Continuously evaluate financial and operational performance metrics dashboards to drive performance improvement.
• Translate program performance into materials for Senior Leadership report outs.
• Develop and grow direct reports, supporting colleagues' professional development.
• Ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
• Other duties as assigned.

About the role:

This role will be responsible for driving the strategy and implementation of strategic initiatives in support of Oscar's Virtual Care program. Primary responsibilities include setting the overall department strategy, ensuring operational efficiency and deploying tactics to improve overall program performance. The Associate Director should be comfortable working in a cross functional team with operations, product, data, and clinical teams.

You will report into the Director, Virtual Care.

Work Location:

This position is based in our Tempe, AZ office, requiring a hybrid work schedule with 3 days of in-office work per week. Thursdays are a required in-office day for team meetings and events, while your other two office days are flexible to suit your schedule. #LI-Hybrid

Pay Transparency:

The base pay for this role is: $162,453 - $213,220 per year. You are also eligible for employee benefits, participation in Oscar's unlimited vacation program and annual performance bonuses.

Responsibilities:

• Set, drive and execute on the Virtual Care team's strategy to enhance program performance including determining new opportunities
• Identify and drive execution of cost-savings opportunities by collaborating with key business units
• Program management of key company and department strategy initiatives from development through implementation
• Continuously evaluate financial and operational performance metrics dashboards to drive performance improvement
• Comfortable translating program performance into materials for Senior Leadership report outs
• Development and growth of direct reports, ensuring that colleagues are supported in professional development
• Compliance with all applicable laws and regulations
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

• 7+ years experience in healthcare strategy and operations, and or related field
• 4+ years of experience managing individual contributors
• 3+ years project planning experience

Bonus points:

• Master's degree
• Management Consulting experience with a focus on healthcare
• Experience in leading large-scale cross functional initiatives
• Experience with Excel and financial modeling experience

Final offer amounts, within the base pay set forth above, are determined by factors including your relevant skills, education, and experience.
