Job summary

AstraZeneca in Cambridge, MA, invites a senior translational data scientist to lead AI-driven analyses of hematology programs. You will build scalable analytics, interfaces for scientists and clinicians, and mentor the team to elevate translational data capabilities.

Based in Cambridge with flexible in-office days, you will shape study design, biomarker strategy, and rapid data-to-decision workflows for cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience.
• Master's Degree.
• AI/ML and statistical learning on high-dimensional data.
• Bulk and single-cell DNA/RNA workflows.
• Interfaces for scientists, clinicians, and non-experts to gain insights.
• Python and R programming; scalable data workflows.
• Reproducible analysis with version control and documentation.
• Mentoring data scientists and analytics capability growth.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience with hematologic malignancies MRD biomarkers.

Responsibilities

• Apply AI and learning to biomarkers and single-cell data to generate actionable insights.
• Build dashboards and tools for fast access to translational/clinical data.
• Design, implement, validate analytical workflows with rigor and reproducibility.
• Develop data transformation pipelines and quality-controlled datasets.
• Collaborate with biomarker science, biostatistics and data engineering.
• Translate outputs into clear narratives guiding program direction.
• Mentor junior data scientists and promote analytics skills.
• Serve as go-to expert in hematology translational analytics.
