Job summary

Harvard University seeks an Associate Director of Student Funding within the Office for Graduate Education to lead policy development and administration of student funding programs for HMS PhD and master’s students. You will oversee tuition, stipends, fellowships, and related funding activities, ensuring compliance and efficiency.

You will design modern funding workflows, partner with University Information Systems, and drive reporting, data integrity, and scalable solutions across affiliates.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
• At least 7 years of relevant work experience.
• Supervisory experience.
• Advanced knowledge of sponsored research regulations.
• MBA or Master’s degree in a relevant field.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and advanced Excel.
• Knowledge of advanced financial principles, budget management, and financial analysis.

Responsibilities

• Lead strategic leadership for student funding programs and policies.
• Oversee administration of tuition, stipends, fellowships, and other student support.
• Design and implement modern funding systems and processes with IT partners.
• Coordinate fundraising for student fellowships with Development and OGE leadership.
• Provide dashboards and analyses to support leadership decisions.
