Job summary

Madrigal Pharmaceuticals, a biopharmaceutical company focused on therapies for metabolic dysfunction-associated steatohepatitis (MASH), is seeking an Associate Director of Strategic Sourcing. Based in multiple US locations with 3 days in the office weekly, you will drive category strategies, manage supplier relationships, and negotiate complex contracts to support clinical and commercial programs.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of strategic sourcing, procurement, supply chain, or category management experience.
• Minimum 5 years supporting pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or other highly regulated industries.
• Demonstrated experience leading enterprise-level sourcing strategies and complex supplier negotiations.
• Proven ability to design, lead, and execute large and complex RFP processes in highly cross-functional environments.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute category strategies for CMC, Supply Chain, and Quality-related spend categories.
• Lead complex commercial negotiations and contracts with suppliers.
• Collaborate with Legal, Quality, Finance and stakeholders to address risk and compliance.
• Support strategic initiatives including product launches, technology transfers, and network optimization.
