Job summary

Madrigal is hiring an Associate Director, Strategic Sourcing to lead sourcing strategies across CMC, Supply Chain, and QA functions. You will develop category plans, drive negotiations, and manage supplier relationships to ensure continuity, quality, and cost optimization for clinical and commercial programs.

The role requires strong leadership, cross-functional influence, and a deep understanding of pharmaceutical supply chains in a highly regulated environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
• 8+ years of strategic sourcing, procurement, supply chain, or category management experience.
• Experience supporting pharmaceutical/regulated industries is highly desirable.
• Proven ability to design, lead, and execute large RFP processes in cross-functional environments.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute category strategies for CMC, Supply Chain, and QA-related spend.
• Lead supplier evaluations, market assessments, and benchmarking for cost savings and risk mitigation.
• Manage complex negotiations including Master Service Agreements and related contracts.
• Establish and monitor supplier performance metrics and governance.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to align procurement strategies with business goals.
