Job summary

ShopBack is seeking a commercially savvy Head of Business Development to own a portfolio of strategic merchant relationships in North America. You will negotiate terms, renewals, and expansions, shaping the growth of our merchant partnerships and driving revenue.

Working with Head of Business Development, you will influence cross-functional initiatives with Marketing, Finance, and Product, and you may rise into leadership as the team evolves.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in business development, partnerships, or account management in e-commerce, fintech, or rewards/cashback.
• Proven track record closing complex commercial deals and negotiating with merchants.
• Strong analytical mindset, able to justify recommendations with data.

Responsibilities

• Own and grow a portfolio of strategic merchant relationships and negotiate terms.
• Lead renewals and expansions to drive incremental margin and volume.
• Collaborate with the BD team on cross-account initiatives and deal structuring.
• Represent BD in cross-functional initiatives with Marketing, Finance, and Product.
• Position yourself for a Head of Business Development level role as the team evolves.
• Contribute to BD strategy and reporting, including leadership updates.
