Job summary

The Guild for Human Services seeks an Associate Director of Education to oversee operations and universal life skills curriculum across The Guild School. You will supervise staff, develop IEP-related programming, monitor reporting, and ensure a safe, educational environment focused on student dignity and growth.

Lead departmental planning, coordinate training, and ensure alignment with regulatory requirements while promoting community engagement and high-quality life skills outcomes for students.

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in special education. Strong preference for administration licensure.
  • Five years of experience serving children/adolescents with mental health or developmental disabilities.
  • Demonstrated supervisory and administrative skills.
  • Knowledge of Massachusetts regulatory standards (DEEC/DCF/DESE) and background checks.

Responsibilities

  • Provide transparent, trauma-based leadership for the assigned staff and students.
  • Develop and coordinate life skills curriculum and training, including transitional, financial, literacy components.
  • Coordinate community curriculum experiences including recreational and vocational skills.
  • Ensure all school programs are safe, educational, and student-centered.
  • Coordinate external community education experiences and collaborate with stakeholders.
