Job summary

The Guild for Human Services is seeking an Associate Director of Education to oversee the universal life skills curriculum and supervise the education team. The role focuses on student-centered programming, staff development, and cross-team collaboration to ensure high-quality education across The Guild School.

Qualifications

  • Master's degree in special education; strong preference for administration license or willingness to obtain one.
  • Five years of experience serving children/adolescents with mental health diagnoses or developmental disabilities.
  • Demonstrated supervisory and administrative skills.
  • Knowledge of special education law and processes.
  • Excellent organization and time management skills.
  • Knowledge of MA regulatory standards and DEEC/DCF/DESE experience.
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel as needed.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, case management software, and related tools.

Responsibilities

  • Provide trauma-based leadership for department staff and students.
  • Develop and coordinate life skills curriculum and programming.
  • Coordinate community curriculum experiences including recreational and vocational skills.
  • Lead meetings to develop, implement, and evaluate student programs.
  • Collaborate with specialists and consultants to integrate recommendations into programs.
  • Ensure safe, compliant, and student-centered school programming across sites.
  • Oversee external community education experiences and partnerships.
