Job summary

Iambic Therapeutics, Inc. is seeking an Associate Director, SEC Reporting and Technical Accounting, to lead external financial reporting in accordance with U.S. GAAP and SEC requirements.

This hybrid role based in San Diego will oversee SOX program design, maintenance, and control effectiveness, reporting to Controller/Director of Accounting. The role requires deep technical accounting knowledge across complex transactions, equity financings, leases, ASC 606, and earnings per share, with

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA preferred.
• 10+ years of progressive accounting experience with Big 4 and public-company background.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Company’s SEC reporting strategy and execution, including end-to-end preparation, review, and timely filing of Forms 10-K, 10-Q, 8-K, proxy statements, and other SEC filings.
• Own key components of external reporting, including primary financial statements, footnotes, MD&A, disclosure checklists, XBRL tagging, tie-out documentation, and supporting workpapers.
• Establish and manage quarterly/annual reporting calendar, coordinate inputs across functions, and resolve review comments and open items.
• Coordinate with Legal, Equity Administration, FP&A and HR to collect data for disclosures and ensure timely information sharing.
• Prepare and review materials for Audit Committee, Board, and senior management on financial reporting, technical accounting, and internal controls.
