Job summary

Klein Hersh International is seeking a highly capable SEC Reporting & SOX professional to support the preparation and filing of external financial reports for a clinical-stage oncology company.

The role encompasses SEC filings, SOX compliance, technical accounting, equity administration, and audit support, with a hybrid Boston work arrangement. This position requires a CPA and 8+ years in sophisticated accounting work.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and CPA license.
• 8+ years of progressive accounting experience.
• Hands-on SEC filings experience (10-K/10-Q) and technical accounting research.
• Experience supporting SOX compliance, including control execution, documentation, and testing.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and SEC reporting requirements.
• Life sciences/pharma industry experience preferred.
• Familiarity with DFIN Active Disclosure, NetSuite, and XBRL tagging.

Responsibilities

• Lead the preparation of SEC reports (10-K, 10-Q, 8-K) for review by the Corporate Controller.
• Draft financial statements, footnotes, MD&A, and disclosures per SEC regulations and U.S. GAAP.
• Coordinate quarterly and annual reporting with cross-functional inputs and schedules.
• Assist with XBRL tagging and interactions with external providers.
• Prepare earnings releases and support investor relations materials.
• Support proxy filings.
