Job summary

Travere Therapeutics is seeking an Associate Director of Search and Evaluation to drive external innovation sourcing, screening and evaluation for in-licensing, acquisition or collaboration. You will partner with scientific experts to map the rare disease landscape and guide prioritization to strengthen Travere's leadership in nephrology and metabolic diseases.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences or related; advanced degree preferred.
• 8+ years of relevant scientific experience in biotechnology or pharmaceutical industries with a focus on business development, search and evaluation, or similar roles.
• Strong scientific acumen and ability to interpret complex data and clinical findings.
• Proven track record of successful evaluation and in-licensing of biopharma assets.
• Demonstrated ability to effectively collaborate cross-functionally.
• Knowledge and experience in rare diseases, immunology, nephrology, or metabolic diseases is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Closely collaborate with Travere's scientific leaders to help define and implement scientific strategy for external sources of innovation in the specialty nephrology, rare metabolic and rare disease therapeutic areas.
• Identify leads and source new Business Development opportunities that are consistent with the company's scientific and business objectives.
• Conduct thorough scientific evaluations of potential in-licensing, acquisition, or collaboration opportunities.
• Serve as a key member of the cross-functional deal team through diligence, negotiation, contract execution and integration of acquisitions and partnerships.
• Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders in the biopharma community, including researchers, industry experts, and potential partners.
• Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitive activities to inform search strategies and evaluations.
• Leverage multiple information sources to identify promising assets and other external opportunities, including publications, presentations, competitive intelligence, scientific conferences, and industry-related databases.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences or related

Advanced degree (PhD, PharmD, MD, MS, MBA) preferred
